PROJECT DETAILS
Client | MRCB
Master Planner / Architect | Broadway Malyan
Completion | 2016
Scope | Infrastructure
Location | KUALA LUMPUR
KL Sentral was designed as an intermodal transport hub. Most of Kuala Lumpur’s passenger rail lines serve KL Sentral, while many intercity trains serving Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore start there. All the railway components of the scheme have been completed with most other components such as shopping malls, offices and apartments are either completed or under construction. It is design to be a new business and financial hub for Kuala Lumpur.
KL Sentral currently serves 160,000 people a day, which is 60% more than its stated capacity of 100,000 per day. MRCB is looking to extend it to 250,000 footfall a day with the advent of the Mass Rapid Transit. RPM has been retained to manage the development of the Linkway that connects a series of sophisticated circulation systems.
